On May 16, 2024, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) officially released the results of the Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) conducted on March 3, 2024. A total of 57,683 individuals successfully passed the examination, representing 17.20 percent of the 335,385 examinees who took the test across 94 testing centers nationwide. The passers are now eligible for permanent appointment to first and second level positions in the government, provided they meet other qualification requirements.
The examination was administered in various regions, with National Capital Region (NCR) having the highest number of passers. CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles congratulated the new civil service eligibles and reminded them of their crucial role in nation-building. This bi-annual examination is a critical component of the government's merit and fitness principle in public service, ensuring that only qualified individuals are recruited into the bureaucracy. The successful examinees can now proceed with the necessary steps to claim their Certificate of Eligibility.
