Beginning February 1, 2024, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) officially launched the nomination period for the 2024 Search for Outstanding Government Workers. This annual program aims to recognize public officials and employees who have demonstrated exceptional performance, integrity, and dedication in their service to the Filipino people. The search encompasses three distinct categories: the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award, for exceptional contributions with nationwide impact; the Dangal ng Bayan Award, for exemplary ethical behavior; and the CSC Pagasa Award, for outstanding contributions that benefit a particular department or region.

Government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and private citizens are encouraged to submit nominations for deserving individuals or groups. The nomination period typically runs for several months, with strict criteria for eligibility and documentation. CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles emphasized the importance of this recognition program in fostering a culture of excellence and accountability within the bureaucracy. The awards not only provide due recognition to outstanding public servants but also serve as an inspiration for others to emulate their commitment to honest and efficient governance, thereby strengthening public trust in government institutions.
